6-Minutes Corn in a Cup

Hello Readers !

Fairprice is having an organic food sale until 18 September 2013. & yes corn (as the recipe name suggests) is in the sale list. Check out our Facebook page for more organic deals by FairPrice - click hereGoing at $2.55 for a pack of 2 corn cobs (u.p. $3.05), you could get a few packets and prepare your own frozen corn (check it out here) to use in salads, soups, stir-frys or a quick snack whip-up such as our recipe featured here.

Well, the common question is: are organic food healthier? The answer is; we are not sure. Scientists have done many experiments and so far, it seems that food produced organically or conventionally, have similar nutrient composition. Here are some reliable sources that can give you an idea of what organic food is truly all about, click to read more: Web Md, Mayo Clinic, Singapore's AVA.

So in SSD Kitchen Box's opinion, if you can afford organic food, go for it. The more worthy organic food products would be fruits and vegetables as these are the ones that are exposed to more pesticides and most times we eat them raw.

Anyhows, here's a really simple and yummy recipe that you can whip up in just 6 minutes ! To use organic corn or not, it's up to you. Either ways, you'll enjoy this naturally sweet nutritious snack that's packed with dietary fiber, vitamins and minerals! Enjoy.

Yours Truly,
SSD (Kitchen Box of Recipes).
